Product Specification
(i) The test values for the spring force test described in DIN 267-26 have not been specified for this nominal size.
(ii) The test values for the permanent deformation test described in DIN 267-26 have not been specified for this nominal size.
(iii) Technical requirements
DIN 267-26 applies to technical requirements for spring lock washers made of spring steel. Technical requirements for spring-loaded lock washers made of copper-zinc alloys are according to the agreement.
Material:
FSt = spring steel as specified in DIN 267-26 or CuSn 8 standard DIN 17662 (only for nominal sizes 22 and smaller).
Safety ring: St = steel.
CuZn = copper-zinc alloy.
④, Explanatory note
By maintaining a sufficiently high preload in the bolt/nut assembly, the spring washers are designed to prevent the assembly from loosening. This may e.g. be caused by the effect of setting in the assembly. The specification of the residual spring force in DIN 267-26 makes it possible to evaluate the performance of spring washers for the first time. As the spring force can be realized by using spring locking washers as described in this standard (see DIN 267-26), such washers are only suitable for bolt/nut assemblies for bolts of performance class 5.8 or smaller. When spring lock washers with safety rings were developed, the heat treatment methods available at the time did not ensure that the washers would not break during use. The purpose of the safety ring was to retain pieces of the washer in the event of rupture, thereby preventing further damage from occurring, particularly in the case of electrical installations. This issue has now been resolved and it is intended to withdraw the standard after a five-year transition period. It is recommended that the spring locking washers specified in DIN 128 be used instead of the spring locking washers specified in this standard.
Spring washers are often called spring washers in the screw industry. It is made of stainless steel and carbon steel, carbon steel is also known as iron. Generally used spring washers specifications size M3,M4,M5,M6,M8,M10.M12,M14,M16. These specifications are more commonly used. Spring washers national standard GB/T 94.1-87, the standard specification for 2-48mm standard spring washers. Reference standard GB94.4-85 "spring washers technical conditions spring washers". Spring washers can play an anti-loosening, and increase the preload function, and flat washers do not have this function, They can be used to increase the fastening contact area, prevent friction between the bolt and the workpiece, protect the surface of the connecting parts to prevent the surface of the workpiece scratches when the bolt and nut tightening. But some important connections, such as the main reliance on pressure to generate friction to transfer power, are not to use spring washers, with a reduction in connection rigidity, anti-accident. Spring washers can not be used. When the strength of the connected parts of the lower use of a flat gasket or flange bolts to increase the contact area, in the vibration, pulse, and temperature of the medium have relatively large fluctuations, be sure to use the spring pad.
