Stainless Steel Split Pins

The nominal diameter is equal to the diameter of the cotter pinhole. Recommended tolerances for pinhole diameters are:

Nominal diameter ≤ 1.2: H13.

Nominal diameter > 1.2: H14

Cotter pins with nominal sizes 3, 6, and 12 mm are permitted by agreement between supply and demand.

Material: Carbon steel Q215, Q235(GB/T 700)

Copper alloy H63(GB/T 5232), stainless steel 1Cr17Ni7, 0Cr18Ni9Ti(GB/T 1220).

Toughness: each foot of the cotter pin should be able to withstand repeated one-time bending without breaking or cracking in the bending part.

Bending method: pull the cotter pin, any one of its straight feet partially clamped in the test mold (should not produce flattening), and then the cotter pin bends 90 °, back and forth once for a bending.

Test speed should not exceed 60 times/min. test mold should be made semicircular groove hole, its diameter is equal to the nominal specifications of the cotter pin, and the jaws should be r = 0.5mm round.

Work quality:

① The eye ring should be made as round as possible.

② Cotter pin two feet should be circular in cross-section but allows Cotter pin two feet of the plane and the circumference of the intersection of the radius r = (0.05 ~ 0.1) dmax rounded corners.

(iii) The gap between the two feet of the cotter pin and the amount of misalignment of the two feet shall be no greater than the difference between the nominal specification of the cotter pin and dmax.

④ Cotter pins are allowed to be made open (α - the angle between the inner planes of the two legs);

Nominal specifications ≤ 1.6 mm, α ≤ 8 °; 2 ~ 6.3 mm, α ≤ 4 °; ≥ 8 mm, α ≤ 2 °.

Surface defects: burrs, irregularities, and harmful defects are not allowed.

Surface treatment: untreated; galvanized passivated, phosphate
