Standard: DIN 32501 (-1) - 1991&ISO 13918 (PT) - 1998

Flanged CD Weld Studs – Inch / Metric CDF_ACD

Flanged CD (Capacitor Discharge) weld studs are available in inch or metric variations. They are made using stainless or mild steel. Mild steel variations are coated using copper plating to better conduct electricity. Brass or aluminum CD weld studs are also available. CD studs are either unthreaded or available with external or internal threading.

Stud Welding Systems

Join threaded studs and pins to steel and stainless steel with resistance welding that won't damage the opposite side of the material.

Threaded studs are for thin-gauge base materials. Copper-plated steel studs have good corrosion resistance. 18-8 stainless steel studs are more corrosion-resistant than copper-plated steel studs. Aluminum studs are more lightweight than steel or stainless steel studs. They’re nonmagnetic. In wet environments, they resist corrosion.

Ring Weld Projection Stud Advantages

Stainless steel weld studs provide a tight, firm hold without the concern of detachment when properly installed. Some of the benefits of projection weld fasteners and screws include:

Uniform attachment

Quick and efficient

Aesthetically pleasing

Eliminates secondary operations

Extremely strong

A specific benefit of the ring weld projection fastener series is that once installed, a hermetic (airtight) seal has been formed between the weld stud and the parent substrate.

Threaded

Weld studs are generally made from high welding quality low carbon steel, though stainless steel variations are also manufactured. They are made as both threaded screws and unthreaded pins, depending on your application needs. Tab spot weld studs are used in lighter-duty or restricted space applications, whereas projection weld studs are ideal for heavy-duty applications. At Monroe-Juxin Fasteners, we stock the following types of headed weld studs.

Metal Weld Stud Materials

Depending on your project specifications, weld studs are available in several material options. These materials provide strength and corrosion resistance for weld fasteners in various environments. Almost all Juxin Fasteners weld studs are available in inch and metric sizes and are available in the following material options:

Stainless Steel

Carbon Steel (clear zinc finish upon request)

Aluminum

Stainless Steel Weld Stud Advantages

Stainless steel weld stud fasteners are suitable for use in materials with a hardness rating of HRB-70 or less. In particular, stainless steel weld studs provide the following benefits:

Corrosion resistance for a variety of applications and challenging environments

It offers a strong external thread

Stainless steel weld studs are ideal for applications that need non-corrosive fasteners. Due to their natural, hygienic properties, stainless steel weld studs benefit healthcare applications or food preparation. 316 S.S. is available in a particular order for many weld stud styles.

Advantages of Carbon Steel Weld Studs

Low-carbon steel weld studs are suitable for use with HRB-80 or less materials. Benefits of carbon steel weld nuts include:

Cost-effective when compared to S.S.

Ideal for high-volume machine parts

Ideal for light and medium applications

Aluminum Weld Stud Advantages

Aluminum weld studs are suitable for use in materials with HRB-50 or less. Benefits for aluminum weld studs include:

Lightweight assemblies

High strength-to-weight ratio

Resistant to environmental and chemical corrosion

It is ideal for applications that require the lightweight properties aluminum offers. Aluminum weld studs work well for applications that need corrosion resistance
