Insert Nuts (Jack) are available in a selection of sizes at great prices. They are versatile insert nuts for brittle, thin, or soft materials. They are often used to join thinner sheets of material together or to install a threaded insert into the thin material.
When tightened, the body of the nut splays out on the blind side of the material, forming a series of legs that securely grip the material. This design ensures a durable and reusable threaded insert, providing peace of mind for your projects.
This is part of a growing range of pop rivets and nuts designed for when access to the back of the material is limited.
Screw-to-Install Rivet Nuts. These rivet nuts are zinc-plated for mild corrosion resistance. They're also known as jack nuts. Large slits in the body allow these rivet nuts to collapse and flare when you fasten them with a screw. A backside flange distributes the force to resist pull-through in thin metals. For quicker installation, use a rivet nut tool. Length is measured from under the flange.
Scratch-Resistant Screw-to-Install Rivet Nuts, A PVC coating minimizes scratches to the surface of your material and makes these rivet nuts more corrosion-resistant than zinc-plated steel rivet nuts. Large slits in the body allow these rivet nuts to collapse and flare when you fasten them with a screw. A backside flange distributes the force to resist pull-through in thin metals. For quicker installation, use a rivet nut tool. Length is measured from under the flange.
Blind fastener for use in thin, soft, or brittle materials
When installed, the body collapses to form four separate wings that grip the material
Provides a strong, captive, permanent reusable thread
Often used with wood, plastics, composites, glass and ceramics
Large front flange face and broad wings are tolerant of oversized holes
It does not distort thinner materials, including soft plastics and thin sheet metals
Secure fastening is achievable in uneven surfaces
Can be set by tightening a suitable screw of the matching thread
Screw length calculated by adding Jack Nut body length to the thickness of item being attached
Often referred to as JACK Nuts

The JACK NUT threaded insert is excellent for installing threads into problem-thin, soft, or brittle materials such as plastic, wood products, ceramics, and glass. When tightened, the body of the insert collapses to form four legs that grip the inside of the mounting surface, leaving a permanent, reusable, threaded insert. Jack nuts are also ideal for installing a solid captive steel thread into materials where the hole is too large for the thread you wish to use.

HOLLOW BLIND RIVET NUT
Slotted blind rivet nuts with a threaded insert are specially for use in brittle or soft materials such as plastic or perspex. They offer outstanding torsional resistance, particularly on uneven surfaces.
Thanks to the extensive clamping range, they can be used flexibly with differing material thicknesses.
