Based on the theoretical analysis of the structure of a typical shaft elastic retaining ring, this paper gives the calculation formula and checking method of the bearing capacity of the retaining ring, which can be used as a reference for relevant designers.

1. Analysis of bearing capacity of shaft elastic retaining ring: the bearing capacity of shaft elastic retaining ring is one of the important indexes for evaluating its performance, which can reflect the comprehensive performance of the retaining ring to a large extent when shaft elastic retaining ring is subjected to excessive pressure or external force, it will cause severe deformation of retaining ring.
