The shaft elastic retaining ring is mounted on the grooved shaft and used as a fixed part of the axial movement. This kind of retaining ring's inner diameter is slightly smaller than the diameter of the assembly shaft. When installing, it is necessary to use the spring pliers, insert the jaws into the hole of the retaining ring, expand the retaining ring, and then put it into the pre-processed shaft groove. For a packaging batch, the surface is generally based on phosphate blackening, as in conventional packaging, such as oil paper or plastic. Shaft retaining ring production needs to pay attention to several aspects; first, the surface is flat; second, the hardness and elasticity of the qualified; third, there can be no edge burrs. A shaft elastic retaining ring is a commonly used connector, through the elastic deformation to realize the role of axial fixation and transfer torque, and is widely used in mechanical transmission.
一、 Installation method of the elastic retaining ring for the shaft
There are many specifications and models of shaft retaining rings, so you must determine the required specifications and models of elastic retaining rings before installation. It is generally recommended to select an elastic retaining ring that meets the shaft's diameter and the retaining ring's size. Before installing the retaining ring, it is necessary to carry out appropriate preparatory work, mainly cleaning and lubricating the shaft and the shaft hole. The shaft and shaft hole can be cleaned with a wire brush or metal brush, and lubricant needs to be applied after cleaning to facilitate installation. Use the circlip pliers, insert the jaws into the jaw hole of the retaining ring, expand the retaining ring, and put the retaining ring onto the pre-processed shaft groove.
1. Clean the surface of the sprocket and bearing; keep it clean and dry so as not to affect the installation.
2. Place the shaft with an elastic retaining ring on it so that the ends of the retaining ring are close to the shaft shoulder or parts. Pay attention to the direction of the retaining ring.
3. Put the motor end cover bearing on the shaft and tighten the shaft elastic retaining ring.
4. Remove the sprocket counterclockwise with a torque wrench to separate it from the elastic retaining ring.
5. Align the sprocket's tooth holes with the keyway on the shaft and with the elastic retaining ring for the shaft so that they become one, and tighten the sprocket nut clockwise with a torque wrench.
It should be noted that the shaft retaining ring does not need to be installed against the sprocket wheel during installation. For standard installation, the shaft retaining ring should be placed on the shaft, close to the bearing, and aligned with the sprocket.
二、Precautions for installation of shaft elastic retaining ring
1. During installation, the direction of the elastic retaining ring for the shaft should be confirmed to ensure the correct distribution of stress.
2. When using a torque wrench to disassemble the sprocket, special attention should be paid to the torque to avoid damaging the parts.
3. The elastic retaining ring for the shaft should be made of suitable material and specifications to ensure the installation effect and transmission quality.
三、 Difference between shaft elastic retaining ring A type and shaft elastic retaining ring B type
A-type and B-type are available in the market, and the Difference lies in the shape of the mounting hole part. A-type is an arc transition, while B-type is a right angle excess. Generally speaking, A type in Europe and the United States, Japan, Taiwan, and other places are dominant, the primary ground B. B type of domestic production, the Pearl River Delta region, A type more than B type. In other areas, individuals do not have statistics, but the subjective view is that type A is more than type B.
四、Different molding process
Type A is made of a plate-punching process, which can be suitable for dynamic movement and longitudinal load-bearing; Type B is made of a wire-punching process, which is ideal for static and transverse rotary movement, with material 65Mn and heat treatment HRC44-51.
五、Before and after heat treatment hardness
Their hardness after heat treatment is not the same, but the hardness of B-type heat treatment is slightly higher than that of A-type. The inner diameter of this type of retaining ring is marginally smaller than the assembly shaft diameter. When installing them, you have to use the circlip pliers, insert the jaws into the jaw holes of the retaining ring, and expand the retaining ring to put it on the pre-processed shaft groove. So we must pay attention when choosing and can't make a mistake. There is no essential difference between the two on most occasions, but the difference is still mainly reflected in the manufacturing cost and the protection of the contact surface.
Cost: Type A is a stamping plate; after punching such a circle, the middle part of this circle is the drop material waste material, which is more difficult to re-use. The B-type is a wire product, and as long as the "winding out" of such a circle, there is no material waste, so the current B-type is more often used because the B-type consumables are less and have lower prices.
Contact surface: A-type it and connect it to the surface contact. A cross-section can be very wide or thick, and even a very flat rectangle can have a greater load capacity and resistance to deformation. In some retaining rings can not be very thick occasions, such as the screw length is limited or the nut is enormous and need to support a large area of time, a vast cross-section of the A-type plane can play a greater load capacity and better protection of the contact surface of the connected parts. B-type is a wire wound out; the thickness of the cross-section has been stereotyped to increase the load capacity and can only be thickened wire; when the protection of the contact surface of the connected parts of the higher requirements, the B-type wire cross-section of this round thing, theoretically, and the contact surface is a line of contact, easy to damage the connected parts, can not be realized and the same as the A-type of face-to-face contact. Therefore, the general use of oversized loads is A-type, and general loads are B-type.
