Pins are used to locate and fasten parts and are available in cylindrical and conical types. Pins in the mechanical parts of the connection play a pivotal role. According to the different shapes and roles, they can be divided into cotter pins, taper pins, cylindrical pins, grooved pins, and so on. In pin products, cylindrical, taper, and cotter pins are widely used to produce commodity fasteners and irreplaceable fastener products. The pin is a standardized fastener, can be a static, fixed connection, and can also be connected with the relative movement of the connected parts, mainly used for two parts of the articulation, constituting a hinge connection. Pins are usually locked with cotter pins, which are reliable and easy to dismantle. The international standard for pins is ISO2341:1986. The difference between the two is that there are many pins, including plunger pins, taper pins, elastic pins, pins, and so on. Most pins are used for fixed connections, while pins are commonly used for movable articulation points.
