Use and description: applied to fix lamps, hanging flags, bookshelves, curtain slots, photo frames, bookshelf slots, cable grooves, hanging flower pots, coat racks, etc. Suitable for fixing load objects.Features: stable structure, not easy to deform.
Surface treatment: environmentally friendly galvanized zinc, by ASTM (A879-00) standards. A shallow head makes these bolts good for low-clearance applications. The spring-loaded toggle holds against the back of the material. To install, insert the bolt through your fixture and thread the toggle onto it. Next, fold the toggle wings flush against the bolt and push them through a drilled hole until they pop open on the other side. Pull back on the bolt and tighten. In denser materials such as high-strength concrete, use a drill bit that is 1/16" larger than the size listed. Bolts are zinc-plated steel to resist corrosion in wet environments. The bolt is reusable, but the toggle will fall behind the wall when the bolt is removed.    

Shop for Toggle Bolts in Bolts. There are several types of hollow wall fasteners, and a toggle bolt is probably the most common. The disadvantage of a toggle bolt is you have to drill a 5/8-inch hole for a 1/4-inch bolt. And, when you remove the bolt, the toggle falls off inside the wall and is lost.
A better version of a toggle is called a strap toggle, which is a metal toggle attached to plastic straps. It requires a 1/2-inch hole for a 1/4-inch bolt. Push the retaining collar forward until it’s tight in the hole, then snap off the straps. Then screw the bolt into the toggle. When you remove the bolt, the toggle stays in place.
