Product Specification
Maintenance-free (self-lubricating) – Self-lubricating PTFE layer bearing consisting of tin/or copper-coated steel-backed, a middle layer of sintered bronze, and an inner layer, sliding surface, of PTFE.
Plain self-lubricating bearings – Always self-lubricating with a low coefficient of friction
Customized size bearings – We will manufacture the exact wrapped bronze bearings you need at a low cost.
Split-type bushings – Long lifespan, Easy to install,
Simple design – Cost-effective, wrapped bushing with PTFE sliding surface.
High-Load Dry-Running Sleeve Bearings. A metal shell adds strength.
Bronze-backed PTFE bearings with steel shells combine high-load and high-speed capabilities. They resist swelling when exposed to moisture and are electrically conductive.
Frelon bearings with 6061 aluminum shells reduce vibration and are chemically inert.
PTFE bearings with 17-4 PH stainless steel shells have the highest load capacity of any sleeve bearing we offer. They handle shock loads and are chemical resistant.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.
Wear-resistant
Self-lubricating multilayer Composite Bushing is of excellent anti-abrasion performance, mainly due to the particular molecule structure of PTFE. The abrasion process can be generally divided into three phases, so there are kinds of friction coefficients. See the right graph:
1. “Running-in” phrase: The PTFE compound on the bushing is transferred to its mating surface and forms a lubricating film. At this phase, the friction coefficient is bigger, thus the abrasion pace is very quick. See the curve shown in area I of the graph.
2. “Stabilization” abrasion phrase: After the “Running-in phase”, friction happens between PTFE and PTFE, thus the friction coefficient is smaller and keeps steady. As a result, the wear rate is low and steady. See the curve shown in areaⅡof the graph.
3. “Sharp” abrasion phrase: As PTFE in the porous layer is slowly consumed, not enough lubricant can be supplied to the gliding media. The friction coefficient and wear rate will rapidly rise. When 70% of the bronze surface is exposed, the service life of the Self-Lubricating Multilayer Composite Bushing closes to its end.
