These screws have a head height of about one-third the head height of a standard shoulder screw. Use them in low-clearance applications such as inside machines. Made of 316 stainless steel, they have good corrosion resistance and may be mildly magnetic. All are passivated for added protection against oxidation and corrosion. With a shoulder diameter that is twice as precise as our general-purpose shoulder screws, they provide smooth, accurate movement. Use them where precision matters, such as in measuring devices, optical fixtures, and laboratory equipment.

With a reduced head size and an unthreaded shoulder, use these screws as a shaft or dowel pin for small rotating parts in low-clearance applications. They also can act as a linear slide for alignment in punch-and-die mechanisms or plastic injection mold sets. The head keeps items in place when they’re rotating or sliding on the shoulder.
