Metric Slotted Low-Profile Stainless Steel Shoulder Screws. With a reduced head size and an unthreaded shoulder, use these screws as a shaft or dowel pin for small rotating parts in low-clearance applications. They also can act as a linear slide for alignment in punch-and-die mechanisms or plastic injection mold sets. The head keeps items in place when they’re rotating or sliding on the shoulder. They’re also known as shoulder bolts or stripper bolts.

Made of steel, these shoulder screws are stronger, more wear-resistant, and less expensive than stainless steel alternatives. A zinc plating protects them from rust in wet areas. They’re not as corrosion-resistant as stainless steel screws, however, so don’t use them where chemicals or salt water are present. These screws meet DIN 923, an international standard for shoulder screw dimensions.
