Good for use outdoors and in washdown environments, these metric 18-8 stainless steel screws are more corrosion-resistant than steel and nearly as strong. Their pan-shaped head sits nearly flat on the fastened surface, so there’s no need to countersink a hole. With domed or chamfered edges, the head of these screws won’t snag clothing when you brush against it. Length is measured from under the head. Standard-head screws are better for applications with tight spaces than wide-head screws. They meet ISO 1580 (formerly DIN 85), which are dimensional and material standards recognized globally. Wide-head screws evenly distribute clamping force and eliminate the need for a washer.
