Product Specification
Self-tapping embedded in the plastic method:
1. injection molding machine mold implantation installation, injection molding machine can meet;
2. Hot melt embedding requires the use of a hot melt machine.
3. Cold press embedding is much simpler, self-designed presses, ordinary hydraulic presses, and even simple arm presses can be used.
4, self-tapping embedded, the production of molds, tooling design, automation, and assembly line installation is the test of the technical strength of the plastic factory.
When plastic parts must be removed and installed multiple times, the best tightening method is to choose metal nut inserts for plastic parts. There are four methods of metal nut insertion: thermal insertion, ultrasonic insertion, nut injection processing, and cold extrusion insertion. For the thermal and ultrasonic insert processes, the melt-forming properties of the plastic must be applied, and these two processes are only applicable to thermoset raw materials. For thermoset plastic raw materials, choose either the instant injection processing process or the cold extrusion insertion process. For cold extrusion insertion, the ductility of the composite resin will become increasingly important.
1. The most common screw raw material is purple copper. Stainless steel nut inserts are stronger in terms of compressive strength and corrosion resistance, while aluminum nuts are 70% lighter in net weight than purplish brass nuts. For both crimping and ultrasonic inlay processes, a hole must be pre-formed in the plastic part. The hole diameter is specified by the nut insert manufacturer and is slightly smaller than the nut diameter. The hole can be straight or tapered. The front diameter of the nut is slightly below the diameter to facilitate precise positioning and placement of the insert.
2. Throughout the crimping process, the nut is heated to a certain temperature by the heat mold. As the nut is inserted into the plastic part, the nut melts a small portion of the plastic around the hole. The soft epoxy resin is injected into the extruded top teeth and then solidifies and hardens, bonding firmly to the nut. Because the process is easy to control, relatively low cost, and easy to automate technology (several nuts can be pressed in at once), the crimping process is a common nut-setting process for thermoset plastics.
