It responds well to slight bending, threading, and nibbling, but is not ideal for parts that may be subject to very severe fatigue stress.1215 has a machining cost factor of 1.2 when compared to steel 12L14. It possesses better weldability and formability than 12L14. 1215 can be heat treated.
