These panel fasteners are tool-only to meet UL 1950 "service area access" requirements. Thread sizes #4 to 1/4" and M3 to M6.Fully concealed head for tool-only access.

Assorted screw lengths for most applications. Press these nuts into the backside of a panel in applications where you have access to both sides of the panel. Install with an arbor press or similar pressure tool. A quarter-turn locks and releases access panels, doors, and covers. The screw is held to the outer panel by a retainer. An installation tool (sold separately) is required to install the retainer. Nuts and screws have a zinc plating that provides corrosion resistance in wet environments. Length is measured from under the screw head.

Panel spring screws can be used for PCB board installation, taking up minimal space. The pressure-fitting sleeve of the thumb screw has knurled teeth and is pressed into the chassis or thin sheet hole (note: the drilling diameter of the thin sheet has certain requirements corresponding to the diameter of the spring screw's pressure teeth). It forms an exposed spring screw that can be hand-tightened on the other end (the hand-tightening end). Inside, there is a spring fixed, allowing the screw to move in and out relative to the other end of the thin sheet.
