Press rivet nut column, also known as press rivet stud or nut column, is a fastener applied to sheet metal, thin plate, chassis, cabinet, press rivet nut column whose shape is hexagonal at one end and cylindrical at the other end.
The hexagonal side and the cylindrical middle have a receding groove, and its internal shape is the internal thread, through the press the hexagonal head is pressed into the pre-set hole of the thin plate (the diameter of the pre-set hole is generally slightly larger than the cylindrical outer diameter of the riveting stud) to cause plastic deformation around the hole, the deformed part is squeezed into the receding groove of the riveting nut column, so that the riveting nut column is riveted tightly on the thin plate, thus forming an effective fixed internal thread in the thin plate.

From the material and the form of internal threads, the press rivet nut column is divided into four types of fast-cutting steel through-hole press rivet nut column JX-SO, stainless steel through-hole press rivet nut column JX-SOS, fast-cutting steel blind-hole press rivet nut column JX-BSO and stainless steel blind-hole press rivet nut column JX-BSOS, which are applied to different usage environments.
2. Production: The equipment for producing riveting studs is Taiwan precision automatic lathe, with five sets of tools in the spindle and fine-tuning screws, which can finish punching, tapping, milling, and chamfering at the same time, with accurate concentricity and smooth surface without turning marks.
3. Use: The riveted nut column can be riveted on a 0.5mm thick thin plate, and a solid internal thread can be formed on it after riveting. The riveting equipment is used to press downward in the head in parallel, using the hexagonal edge of the riveting stud and the sheet metal bite to prevent sliding and falling off.

With the continuous development of mechanical cutting processing to automation, high-speed, and precision direction, the cutting of materials put forward higher requirements, so the emergence of a better cutting of lead and sulfur composite free-cutting steel, also known as free-cutting steel. Since then, a variety of lead and sulfur binary and multiple composite free-cutting steels has been introduced.
1. 2. Peal. Good plating performance: cutting and processing are very easy; can drill deep holes, milling deep grooves, etc.; processing efficiency can be significantly increased compared to ordinary steel; good plating performance of the product, can replace copper products, greatly reducing production costs.
3. Good surface finish: the surface finish of the workpiece after turning is good; 1215 free-cutting steel is an environmentally friendly material, compared with 12L14 does not contain lead and does not contain harmful substances to the environment, good machinability. It is suitable for general plating shafts, cutting material, and general parts. Because of accurate precision and good surface condition, the products can be used directly, such as sanding, bending, drilling, or plating directly after fine drawing according to the actual requirements, which eliminates a lot of machining time and saves the cost of configuring processing machines.1215 free-cutting steel is an environmentally friendly material, compared with 12L14, it does not contain lead and does not contain harmful substances to the environment, and has good cutting properties. 1215 is suitable for general cores, cutting materials, and general parts. 1215 can be used directly, such as sanding, bending, drilling, or plating directly after cold-drawing according to actual requirements, which eliminates a lot of machining time and saves the cost of configuring processing machinery. 1215 is mainly used for making instruments, parts, automobiles, machine tools, and various other machines that require strict dimensional accuracy and finish but not high mechanical properties, such as automatic turning, riveted parts, inserts, shafts, bolts, bushings, pins, various parts, etc., which are subjected to small forces and have strict requirements on size and finish. On the basis of 1215, the manganese (Mn) and sulfur (S) content is controlled at the upper line of the standard value, which is more conducive to the turning process. Essentially 1215MS is also 1215 - only with higher and more accurate manganese and sulfur content.
