Manufacturing has a reputation for machining quality parts from 1018 Steel. We can machine intricate parts on our CNC Swiss machines and CNC turning centers. Steel alloy 1018 is a general-purpose alloy, ideal for parts that require forming and surface hardening. While not as machinable, it is a good choice for parts that require very strong welds and a lower strength than high-carbon alloys. 1018 is available case-hardened only.1018 has a machining cost factor of 2.4 when compared to steel 12L14. It produces exceptional welds that do not require pre- or post-heating processes. 1018 responds well to case hardening and heat treatment.Material: Stainless Steel

Stainless steel surface passivation treatment method

The surface of stainless steel can be passivated to remove all kinds of grease, rust, oxidation, welding joints, and other dirt, and the treated surface becomes uniformly silvery white, which greatly improves the corrosion resistance of stainless steel and is applicable to various types of stainless steel parts, plates, and their equipment. Next, we share the method of stainless steel surface passivation treatment and the materials used.

Depending on the material of the stainless steel and the severity of the scale, it can be diluted with the original solution or water at a ratio of 1: 1 ~ 4. Ferritic, martensitic, and austenitic stainless steels with low nickel content (such as 420, 430, 200, 201, 202, 300, 301, etc.) Perform dilution to use, while austenitic stainless steel with high nickel content (such as 304, 321, 316, 316L, etc.) Are immersed in the original solution; generally should be used at room temperature or heated to 50 ~ 60, soaked for 3 ~ 20 minutes or longer (specific time and temperature determined by the user according to their own trial), until the surface dirt is completely removed and a uniform dense passivation film is formed. After treatment, take it out and rinse it with clean water, you can neutralize it by rinsing it with alkaline water or lime water.
