Installation Precautions for High-Strength Bolts: 

High-strength bolt connections are commonly used in steel structure construction due to their simple and fast installation, effectively avoiding quality issues caused by on-site welding. However, during installation, problems such as the bolt not fitting into the hole, the nut not tightening properly, or difficulty in screwing the nut on often occur. Forcing installation can lead to failed quality acceptance and unnecessary trouble in construction. So, what issues should we pay attention to in steel structure construction?

1. The direction of bolt insertion should be convenient for operation and strive for consistency to ensure an overall aesthetic appearance.

2. Bolts should freely pass through the bolt holes. For bolt holes that do not allow free passage, they can be trimmed using a reamer, grinder, or file after ensuring no gaps between layers around the aperture. Bolts must not be forcefully hammered in, and gas cutting to enlarge the hole is not allowed.

3. During the installation of bolted connections, the tapered side of the nut should be in contact with the chamfered side of the washer. For large hex head bolts, the chamfered side of the second washer should face toward the bolt head.
