Environmentally friendly electroless nickel plating is aesthetically pleasing, durable, consume less electricity, saves energy, and reduces production costs. Environmentally friendly electroless nickel plating refers to the process of depositing a silver-white nickel-phosphorus alloy on the surface of the workpiece using a chemical immersion method. It provides a visually appealing and durable coating for various mechanical parts, standard components, hardware decorations, and other products. It can replace traditional electroplating processes.
The advantages are as follows:
Compared to electroplating, chemical plating does not require a large amount of electricity. The workpiece is immersed in the plating solution for a certain period of time to achieve the desired plating effect, saving a significant amount of energy and reducing product costs.
1. The coating is a nickel-phosphorus alloy that is dense, durable, and has high hardness. It can achieve comparable results to traditional electroplating. It exhibits better corrosion resistance than traditional electroplating. (Microstructure: amorphous alloy, non-magnetic; melting point: 860-880°C; density: 7.8g/cm3; hardness: as-plated 550HV, can reach 1200HV with appropriate treatment)
2. High efficiency: The plating thickness can reach 15-18 micrometers per hour for typical workpieces. (The plating rate depends on the concentration of the plating solution and the surface roughness of the workpiece.) It significantly improves work efficiency compared to traditional electroplating processes.
3. The coating is distributed evenly without being affected by current distribution, as seen in conventional electroplating. Even complex geometric shapes can achieve a uniform coating, ensuring the quality of the workpiece.
It is safe, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. The plating solution can be reused, eliminating the discharge of waste liquid. It greatly improves the working environment for employees and saves substantial environmental management costs.
It is easy to use. Electroplating equipment is not required, and the plating can be done using common plastic or fiberglass containers.
