Carbon steel Tapping Inserts for Soft Metal, Also known as Tap-Lok inserts, these inserts cut their threads in soft metals such as aluminum, so there’s no need to tap the hole. Install them into a drilled hole with an installation tool and a ratchet wrench. Installation tools can also be placed in the chuck on a drill press and turned by hand.Features of self-tapping bushings: 

1. Self-tapping bushings can provide robust internal threads on softer textured substrates that can accommodate multiple repairs and disassembly;

2. Self-tapping bushings can effectively repair damaged internal threads;

3. self-tapping bushings can withstand high loads and can be used on smaller inserts, thus allowing for a more compact product design;

4. Self-tapping bushings are generally used after die-casting, injection molding, or other manufacturing processes, allowing for simplification of the product structure and increased production.

Material: Steel 1045 Machined Parts

Steel alloy 1045 is a versatile medium carbon alloy, ideal for parts that require strength and impact resistance. Due to its higher carbon content, it has higher tensile strength. 1045 has excellent ductility and toughness.1045 has a machining cost factor of 3.0 when compared to steel 12L14. It is not ideal for welding or forming due to its higher carbon content. 1045 responds to heat treatment extremely well, but it is not ideal for case hardening.

Packing: Inner is Poly foam, out is carton. Then pallet. Carton size: 29*19*19.5CM and 23.5*17.5*8, CM and pallet size is: 215*100*90CM, or as your requirement.
