Performance and Advantages of Rubber Dampers

Rubber dampers, as an important type of shock-absorbing component, have been widely used in various machinery, automobiles, locomotives, watercraft, aircraft, and other aerospace applications. It can be said that rubber dampers are necessary in any place where vibration and shock absorption are required.


1. Characteristics of Rubber Dampers: Rubber has high elasticity and viscoelasticity. Compared to steel materials, rubber has large elastic deformation and a small elastic modulus. The impact stiffness of rubber is greater than the dynamic stiffness, and the dynamic stiffness is greater than the static stiffness, which helps reduce impact deformation and dynamic deformation. Rubber is an incompressible material (Poisson's ratio is 0.5).
