Hot melt copper nuts, also known as IUTB hot melt nuts, have a rounded appearance with beveled knurling, the upper and lower ends are knurled in opposite directions and have grooves, also known as eight-knurled nuts. It is often used as an insert for injection molding and as an internal thread. The knurled figure-of-eight of the hot-melt copper nut not only prevents sliding, but also has a self-guiding function during installation, and has a better overall performance in terms of torsion and tension resistance. The knurled octagonal nut is usually installed by hot melt, hot press, ultrasonic fusion, and pre-injection molding so that the nut and plastic parts are closely occluded to play the role of connection, locking, and fastening. The thread specifications of hot melt brass nuts are: M2, M2.5, M3, M4, M5, M6, and M8. Each thread specification has different lengths to choose from. Hot melt nuts are divided into two types according to material: hot melt copper nuts and stainless steel hot melt nuts. Their models are indicated by IUTB and IUTC respectively. IUTB hot melt nuts are made of copper, usually, C3604 brass, and in general the nuts do not need surface treatment, and in special cases can be plated. IUTC hot melt nuts are made of stainless steel, usually with SUS303 stainless steel. Because the copper material has better thermal conductivity, after heating the copper nut embedded, hot melt copper nut can quickly become hot, and rapid heat transfer to the plastic parts so that the plastic hole around the softened easily presses into the hole. Therefore, in injection molding IUTB hot melt nuts are more commonly used.
Hot melt insert nuts as the name implies mostly use the hot melt buried way, it is also the most common and most common buried way.
The installation is simple and fast and generally buried by a heat fusion machine or manual soldering iron.

Installation steps:
1、Heat the pressure handle to 80-90 degrees, and contact with the copper nut to make its temperature rise. Hot melt copper nut has the advantages of not easy to rust, anti-corrosion, easy to conduct heat, and conductivity, its application areas are also relatively wide, in the electronics, hardware, plastic, lighting, toys, sanitary ware, home furnishings, medical, sports equipment, and other industries are involved. Mostly used in laptop plastic shells, GPS plastic shells, router plastic shells, cell phone plastic shells, unlimited communication facilities plastic shells, home appliances plastic shells, automotive, valves, electrical switches, etc.
2、Press the copper nut into the plastic parts until the hot fusion copper nut and plastic parts fused into one.
3、Exit the pressure handle to complete the installation.
