Milling, broaching, cross-drilling, tapping, and slotting; done in primary set-up on multi-axis machines, The tapered shape makes it easier to guide these inserts into a hole during installation. Use a drill bit to create a square hole, then taper the top half. Heat inserts with a soldering tip so that they melt the plastic when installed. As the plastic cools, it solidifies around the knurls and ridges on the insert for excellent resistance to both torque and pull-out.

Made with lead, brass inserts are stronger than aluminum and other brass alloys but not as strong as 303 stainless steel inserts. They have good corrosion resistance.

Aluminum inserts are 70% lighter than brass and stainless steel inserts, have good corrosion resistance, and are lead-free. Since they’re lead-free, they can be safely recycled.

Material: Steel 1215 Machined Parts

 Manufacturing has a reputation for machining quality parts from 1215 Steel. We can machine intricate parts on our CNC Swiss machines and CNC turning centers. Steel alloy 1215 is a popular free-machining alloy (FMA), ideal for parts that require considerable machining and a bright finish. It responds well to slight bending, threading, and nibbling, but is not ideal for parts that may be subject to very severe fatigue stress.1215 has a machining cost factor of 1.2 when compared to steel 12L14. It possesses better weldability and formability than 12L14. 1215 can be heat treated.

Packing: Inner is Poly foam, out is carton. Then pallet. Carton size: 29*19*19.5CM and 23.5*17.5*8, CM and pallet size is: 215*100*90CM, or as your requirement.
